FAQ :

  • Q: Are there different types of sealer for sandstone tiles?
  • A: Yes, here at Tile Cleaners Adelaide® we provide a variety of top quality sealers to seal your sandstone tiles, whether you choose to use an Impregnating Sealer or a Topical Sealer for your sandstone tiles depending on your needs.
    • Q: Will grinding remove the sealer from my limestone?
    • A: Yes, the mechanical resurfacing process used to grind your floors will remove all coatings, resulting in your floors being in an "as new" condition. Once honed or polished, you should reseal your surfaces with a deep penetrating, impregnating sealer, which avoids staining and will reduce the effect of soiling.
      • Q: How do I know if my sandstone floors need sealing?
      • A: Tile Cleaners $custom_city® advises the simple "water test". The water test is well known in the stone industry and it will help you determine whether your sandstone floors require sealing. First you need to place a few drops of water on your stone and let it set for around 10 to 30 minutes then wipe it dry. If your stone did not darken, it means your sandstone is perfectly sealed and does not require sealing, but if it has darkened, it means that the water was able to penetrate your stone and sealing is required.
