Testimonials

The Slate tiles we have in our dining and kitchen area had very old solvents that no other company was able to remove. The job your team did to reseal my kitchen floors was excellent. Much appreciated and recommended to others.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs » Sealing Stone Floors

  • Q: What can I do to keep my surfaces looking new?
  • A: To keep your surfaces looking new, Tile Cleaners Adelaide® recommend cleaning each week with a mild detergent to remove any dirt or grime. Strong detergents(strong acid or alkali) may affect the sealer, mild detergents and pH neutral substances are strongly recommended.

Other FAQs :

  • Q: How will you charge me for sealing my floors?
  • A: Tile Cleaners Adelaide® charge per square meter for each separate room. There is a price list on the Tile Cleaners Adelaide® website for you to review. Before we begin our work we will measure each room individually, confirm the work to be carried out as well as confirm all costs with you.
    • Q: How do I maintain my floors after they have been cleaned / sealed?
    • A: The technician who carries out your cleaning/sealing will be able to offer maintenance advice specific to your tiled area. As a general rule we recommend the use of a mild cleaner at least weekly to maintain you tiled floors. Tiles with a textured surface may benefit from the use of a doodlebug rather than a mop for a more effective clean. Avoid the use of harsh chemicals which will decrease the life expectancy of sealers. Also when mopping make sure to change you water frequently otherwise all you might achieve is spreading dirty water around your floors!
      • Q: Why should I clean my stone surface?
      • A: Natural stone products contain dirt, residues, dust and grime in their pores. These pores need to be cleaned well before any sealant is applied to the surface of the stone. If dirt etc. is trapped under the stone sealer sooner or later it will cause a milky white residue between the top of the stone and the underside of the sealer. The only way to remove this is to remove the stone sealer and clean.
